Avalon.ph Internet Auctions FAQ

IMPORTANT: FAQ page to be updated to reflect the new features of the site. Thank you very much.

Frequently Asked Questions:

1. Do I need a credit card to register on the site?

We DO NOT require credit card information to be entered in your registration. Just select "E-mail Invoice" in your payment scheme (which is the only selection anyway) and you will not need to change or enter any other information on the credit card fields.

2. I already registered on the site yet I have not received my password after an hour, what seems to be the problem?

Please check the e-mail address you entered if it is functioning properly at the time of registration. Sometimes your e-mail inbox may already be full (this happens alot to users who encounter this problem), or they may be temporarily down. If you still don't get your password after 24-48 hours, please notify support@avalon.ph using the e-mail address you used to register.

3. My account is already activated, yet after a few weeks (or months) it is no longer working.

The site administrator evaluates the information in your registration. Make sure you enter legitimate information when you register on the site.

4. How do I sell/post an item for auction on the site?

All you have to do is register and you can start posting items for sale/auction. Remember that Avalon.ph implements a strict seller monitoring system. This is not a classified ads site, it is an auction site. Seller integrity is very important to maintain a legitimate trading experience on Avalon.ph.

5. I am bidding on a multiple quantity item, my bid doesn't seem to be getting thru. What is the problem?

For a Dutch (Multiple Quantity) auction. You can bid on multiple quantities of this item. All winners will pay the same price for this item. The winning bid, or the price that all winners will pay, is the lowest successful bid at the end of the auction. There are no maximum (proxy) bids in a Dutch auction. If you are bidding on a quantity higher than one, due to existing bids other bidders have placed, you may have to bid higher than the next acceptable bid in order to successfully bid on the quantity that you want. By viewing the Bid History, you may be able to determine the amount you need to bid in order to win the quantity that you want.
